The Digital Earth Loop Testers loop impedance is measured by touching a probe straight to an earth bar, collector and contact point of an earth bar. The same analysis can be done by touching the earth probe to any exposed, conductive parts of the material in the circuits and other exposed metallic parts.
Earth fault loop impedance testing is a way of ensuring that you have made an electrically safe ground connection that has a suitably low residual resistance. If a live conductor is inadvertently connected to an earth conductor in something that’s faulty, it could easily short-circuit and can easily be high enough to cause a serious electric shock or start a fire internally.
Re-CAL is a part of the Di-LOG group, for more information click the link to view our group divisions.
We will let you know if we find a fault with your Digital Earth Loop Tester during the calibration process. Not only that, we will provide you with the best options on which to proceed. This could involve repairing the unit or replacing it with a new model. Either way, we have the knowledge and experience to point you in the right direction.
We are part of the Di-LOG group, the UK’s foremost manufacturer of electrical testing equipment. Consequently, we are well-versed in the importance of accurately calibrating Digital Earth Loop Testers and more. More importantly, we have the training and support network that puts us ahead of the field when it comes to calibrating your equipment.
We know that the practical requirements for today’s testers, as well as the standard of expectations, are higher than ever. This is why we only employ the finest Technical Engineers in the business to handle your calibration. They have the experience and the extensive knowledge required to offer an unbiased technical opinion on any concerns you may have.
